NANOG 64, held in San Francisco last week from June 1-3, offered plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues, freshen-up skills, learn advanced networking techniques, and discover new network applications. The conference certainly met our expectations, from the content, attendees, to even simply the weather in San Francisco. Our CEO, Aaron Hughes, spoke on two separate occasions; on Tuesday, he was the co-chair of the BCOP track and on Wednesday, he announced a major update on PeeringDB and the future of its organizational structure.
PeeringDB is a freely available web-based database of networks that are interested in peering, which has become the default location for Internet peering data. Hughes announced that PeeringDB 2.0 is ready to launch. The PeeringDB 2.0 beta site is up now at beta.peeringdb.com and they’re planning to cut over to the live site on August 1, 2015.
